Atlas Lumber Company is a progressive forest products company with a mission to consistently deliver high quality, sustainable, and competitive wood products. We have been doing this for 70 years.
Based in Chino, CA, Atlas Lumber employs over 25 sales and service “team members” who work together to exceed customer expectations in architectural wood products.
Our 50,000’ enclosed warehouse keeps a million feet of hardwood and softwood lumber and plywood completely protected from the elements.
We have a modern milling facility on-site to process our wood products into mouldings, millwork, and components. Our millwork team has decades of experience in meeting exacting customer specifications in surfacing, ripping to width, detail manufacturing, sanding, gluing, and cut-to-length.
Our Customer Sales Center, also located on site, is a walk-in “store” that serves the public on a just-in-time basis. Its extensive offerings include hardwood, plywood, mouldings, hardware, and many other products for the do-it-yourself woodworker.

After graduating from college, Randy Porter joined the company in 1980, and later purchased it from his grandfather. Armed with a background in corporate finance, Chris Porter joined his brother in running the family business. In 1987, Atlas Lumber relocated to Chino in order to better serve the expanding southern California market.
Atlas Lumber continues to forge ahead to meet the desires and needs of an ever-changing industry. In 2007, the company demonstrated both its leadership in the industry and its dedication to the protection of the environment by becoming an FSC certified “green” company.
